Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Sok Chenda Sophea, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will lead a delegation to take part in the Fourth Meeting of the Cambodia-Philippines Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (4th JCBC) in Manila this week, at the invitation of H.E. Enrique A. Manalo, Secretary for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines. According to a press release of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation made public this morning, the 4th JCBC Meeting will be held on Aug. 27-28, 2024. The meeting will follow up and review progress in implementing agreements reached during the 3rd JCBC Meeting in 2021, and chart a new course of action to further strengthen the long-standing relations between the two countries. The two ministers will also touch on regional developments and international issues of common interest and concern. During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister will pay a courtesy call on H.E. Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., President of the Republic of the Philippines, and attend a luncheon hosted by H.E. Ms. Sara Duterte, Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines.
