His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia and Her Majesty Queen-Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk departed here this morning for their routine medical checkup in Beijing, China. The monarchs were seen off at Phnom Penh International Airport by Cambodian top leaders, including Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King, and his spouse; National Assembly President, Samdech Moha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary; Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet; and many other high-ranking officials as well as royal family members. Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Wang Wenbin was also present on the occasion. During His Majesty the King's absence, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will act as the Acting Head of State. Their Majesties the King and Queen-Mother regularly undergo their medical checkup in Beijing. During their stay in China, they always receive warm hospitality from Chinese l eaders and medical doctors. Their last medical visit to China was from Feb. 26 to Mar. 28, 2024.
