SHAH ALAM, Nor Azizah Ahmad has been announced as the new Tanjong Karang Wanita UMNO chief after winning the re-election for the position today. Selangor UMNO Liaison Committee chairman Datuk Megat Zulkarnain Omardin said Nor Azizah defeated incumbent Datuk Habibah Mohd Yusof by securing 271 votes compared to Habibah's 145 votes in the straight fight. 'Nor Azizah is also committed to engaging with every UMNO women's representative to further strengthen the party in the area,' he told Bernama when contacted. In the previous election session, Nor Azizah secured 285 votes, defeating Habibah, who received 152 votes.
