SEOUL, President Yoon Suk Yeol volunteered at a soup kitchen in Seoul on Wednesday, making kimchi stew with his own hands and distributing it to the homeless and needy. The soup kitchen inside Myeongdong Cathedral opens every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, serving free meals to around 750 people each day. It was Yoon's third time volunteering at the center, after visiting in March 2022 as the then president-elect and then again in September that year following his inauguration. Wednesday's menu included kimchi stew with pork, seasoned cucumber and chives, and Thai shrimp dumplings. Yoon helped prepare the ingredients before making the stew and serving it to visitors. He later thanked volunteers and staff for their service. The presidential office said it donated 2 tons of rice to the soup kitchen. Source: Yonhap News Agency
