Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will make a state visit to South Korea next week to discuss ways to deepen bilateral ties, the presidential office said Wednesday. Mohammed will visit South Korea from May 28-29, which would mark the first state visit to the country by a UAE president. President Yoon Suk Yeol will meet Mohammed to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including economic investment, energy and the defense industry, the office said. Yoon made a state visit to the UAE in January 2023 and held a meeting with Mohammed, in which they agreed to expand cooperation in the nuclear power, arms and energy sectors, among others.
