Phnom Penh: The Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) in Shenzhen, China, has announced its intention to expand its educational cooperation with Cambodia. This initiative includes the development of a joint pre-departure training program in collaboration with Cambodian higher education institutions.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the proposal was presented by Prof. Hong Wei, Director of SUSTech Global, during a recent meeting in Phnom Penh with H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports. Prof. Hong Wei expressed gratitude to the ministry for nominating exceptional Cambodian students to study at SUSTech and commended their academic achievements and participation in Khmer cultural exchange activities.
In response, H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron expressed appreciation for SUSTech's ongoing interest in collaborating with Cambodian institutions and emphasized the significance of enhancing academic partnerships. He encouraged SUSTech to explore joint training programs with prominent public universities in Cambodia and to consider providing more scholarships for Cambodian students pursuing advanced studies in science and technology.
