A person was struck by a metro train and died after trespassing on a rail track in Uiwang, south of Seoul, on Monday, causing disruptions in the Seoul-bound services on Line 1 in the affected sections. The accident occurred at 7:57 a.m. between Uiwang Station and Dangjeong Station after the person entered the railway track without permission. Details, including the person's identity, were not available immediately. The Seoul-bound subway services were briefly halted and then suffered delays, as the rail track where the accident happened was closed to deal with the aftermath.
