SEOUL, Samsung SDI Co. on Tuesday reported its first-quarter net profit of 286.7 billion won (US$208.4 million), down 38.3 percent from a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that operating income for the January-March period fell 28.8 percent on-year to 267.4 billion won. Revenue decreased 4.2 percent to 5.13 trillion won. The earnings fell behind market expectations.
