Phnom penh: The Regional Border Committee (RBC) meeting between Cambodia's Military Region 4 and Thailand's Army Region 2, initially planned for September 28 to 30, has been postponed to October.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Ministry of National Defence of Cambodia announced the postponement after receiving a notice from the Thai side. The delay is attributed to restructuring and leadership changes within Thailand's Army Region.
The Ministry emphasized that Cambodia's Military Region 4 will maintain coordination with Thailand to organize the meeting promptly. This effort is aimed at enabling both parties to implement the ceasefire agreement effectively and foster cooperation to promote peace and stability between the two countries. The goal is to restore normalcy along the border.
