Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet requests Minister of Information H.E. Neth Pheaktra to revoke the license and blacklist journalists who unethically and intentionally run fake news. The Prime Minister made the request when presiding over the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of Samdech Preah Brahma Rattanamony Pin Sem Museum in Siem Reap provincial city on July 18. The fake news does not only mislead the public and harm the reputation of professional journalists, but also pollutes society, he added. Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet underlined that the Royal Government has no intention to restrict the right to freedom of expression, but all exercised expression must respect the law and rights of others and be factual. He called on all journalists to adhere to professional ethics in order to join hands with the government to further tackle fake news and misinformation.
