Cambodian Prime Minister and the honorary Chair of the National Committee for the Promotion of One Village, One Product Movement (OVOP) advises the body to expand potential products. The Prime Minister, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, made the appeal in an open message to mark the 7th National Day to celebrate Cambodian-made products on April 9. In the message, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet appreciated the progress of the movement that replaces competition among locally made products with market-oriented Cambodian product diversification. According to the Prime Minister, with a clear strategic direction, as of 2023, 559 products were registered under the OVOP recognition across Cambodia. The OVOP Movement representing multi-economic development has promoted quality material production, agricultural farming, and animal raising and processing with reasonable prices and sufficient quantity for both domestic and international markets, he added. To live up to this year's theme of 'Sustainable Production and Market Supply Is One Village, One Product Movement', he advised the committee to closely cooperate with other government ministries and institutions to further expand the movement. He also stressed the importance of quality, quantity, and timeliness of the OVOP supply and urged the committee to continue initiating promotional activities and events to profile its products.
