Naver Corp. on Friday reported its first-quarter net profit of 555.8 billion won (US$404 million), up 1171.9 percent from a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 439.3 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 330.5 billion won a year ago. Revenue rose 10.8 percent to 2.52 trillion won. The earnings exceeded market expectations.
