The Ministry of Health has asked the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) to expand cooperation on health with Cambodia. The request was made by H.E. Chheang Ra, Minister of Health, during a meeting with Ms. Eda Kraja, UNOPS Country Manager for Cambodia and Lao PDR, in Phnom Penh on Monday. H.E. Chheang Ra encouraged UNOPS to continue sharing good experiences, especially on the health procurement important to secure an effective supply of medicine as well as other health equipment. The minister underlined Cambodia's health priorities that UNOPS can align its interventions with. He thanked Ms. Eda Kraja for both technical and financial support to the ministry, particularly in heath procurement so far. Ms. Eda Kraja briefed H.E. Chheang Ra on her over ten-year mission in Cambodia, working with the Ministry of Health in the implementation of material and medical procurement. The agency also contributes to Cambodia's fight against malaria, tuberculosis, and COVID-19, as well as its efforts to achieve health-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
