ALOR SETAR, Three people, including a woman, escaped a watery grave after the car they were in plunged into a ditch in Kampung Gunung Sali near here today, when they were saved by alert members of public. Alor Setar Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) Deputy Superintendent II Ahmad Naufal Abdullah said the station received an emergency call on the incident at 6.45 pm before arriving at the location 10 minutes later. "It was an accident involving a Proton Iswara that had plunged into the ditch and there were three victims, two men and a woman, all in their 20s. "All the injured victims were already extricated by members of the public who were there and a firefighter gave cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to one of the male victims who was in a critical condition," he said here today. Ahmad Naufal said that the other two victims only suffered minor injuries while all were sent to the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital here for further treatment. Source: BERNAMA News Agency
