KUALA LUMPUR, Members of the public can apply for or renew their identification cards during the Sarawak Zone MADANI Rakyat 2024 programme, themed Sarawakku Sayang, in Miri from Sept 27 to 29.

In a Facebook post, the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN), announced that the National Registration Department (JPN) will provide services such as identification card applications and renewals, as well as birth and death certificate processing through the mobile MEKAR Bus.

Held at the Boulevard Mall parking lot in Miri the programme will also offer to exchange uncertified Qurans for those approved by the KDN.

‘The Registry of Societies Malaysia (ROS) will provide services for society registrations, approval checks, and advisory services on organisational management,’ the post added.

KDN informed that there will be exhibitions of assets by the Royal Malaysia Police, and visitors will be entertained by Santai Akustik performances and quizzes by the KDN Arts Brigade.

MADANI Rakyat 2024 is a continuation of the One Year
with the MADANI Government programme, which was held at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in December 2023 to give the public a chance to understand and evaluate the policies and initiatives of the government.

The programme then moved to state levels, starting with the Central Zone in Selangor, followed by the Northern Zone in Penang, the Eastern Zone in Pahang, and the Southern Zone in Johor.

It will proceed to Sabah after concluding in Sarawak.
