Communications Ministry secretary-general Datuk Mohamad Fauzi Md Isa said journalists are the voice of the people and conveyors of information about government policies, thereby helping to make the service delivery system successful for the well-being of the country. "Let's jointly continue to help the Communications Ministry, especially in combating the spread of fake news. Happy National Journalists' Day 2024,' he posted on Facebook. May 29 has been gazetted as National Journalists' Day in conjunction with the publication of the maiden edition of Utusan Melayu in 1939, to celebrate the contributions of media practitioners.
