Hungary is committed to further strengthening its cooperation in the health sector with Cambodia. The commitment was made by H.E. Tibor Baloghdi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Hungary to the Kingdom of Cambodia, in a meeting with H.E. Prof. Chheang Ra, Minister of Health in Phnom Penh early this week. The cooperation can be proved through technical skill and research exchange, scholarship provision for general and cancer-specialised doctors, and the exchange of technology and IT experience, said H.E. Tibor Baloghdi. H.E. Cheang Ra spoke highly of the good collaboration between Cambodia and Hungary, especially during the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic, recalling that Hungary donated 454,700 doses of AstraZeneca and 100,000 doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to Cambodia in 2022. The minister thanked the Government of Hungary for its contribution to the ministry's effort in promoting the welfare of people to achieve global health coverage in line with the Royal Governm ent of Cambodia's Pentagonal Strategy-Phase 1.
