SEOUL, Hanwha Group, a South Korean energy-to-defense conglomerate, said Sunday its affiliates were set to showcase key weapons technologies at a global defense fair in Saudi Arabia this week. Hanwha, which has defense industry affiliates, including Hanwha Aerospace and Hanwha Ocean, under its wing, said its arms technologies will be on display at the World Defense Show in Saudi Arabia. Among Hanwha's technologies at the show will be an engine for the nation's homegrown KF-21 fighter jet under development and an airborne active electronically scanned array radar, which is capable of detecting, identifying and tracking multiple targets simultaneously in the air and on the ground. During the exhibition, Hanwha is expected to seek cooperation with nations in the Middle East for defense cooperation, the group said. Source: Yonhap News Agency
