A delegation of Kumamoto Prefectural Assembly, led by its former Speaker Mr. Saburo Matsuda has visited Cambodia to learn more about the country's investment climate and the key roles of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) in order to disseminate the information among business community in Japan. The Japanese delegation was received by H.E. SOUN Sophal, Deputy Secretary General of the CDC's Cambodian Investment Board, at the CDC headquarters here this morning. Mr. Saburo Matsuda noted the progress of Cambodia's socio-economic development with resilience, and exposed the aforementioned purpose of visiting Cambodia this time. For his part, H.E. SOUN Sophal updated the Japanese side on Cambodia's investment potential and opportunities, related regulations and business-supporting policies, as well as the CDC's main role in facilitating all investments in the country. He also thanked the Government and people of Japan for always supporting Cambodia's development since the 1990s, and was highly o ptimistic that the delegation of Kumamoto Prefectural Assembly would help promote widely Cambodia as an investment hub among Japanese business community in Kumamoto.
