The campaign for the 4th Election of Capital, Provincial, Municipal, District, and Khan Councils was peaceful and smooth. The evaluation was shared by a member of the National Election Committee (NEC) H.E. Som Sorida following an assessment meeting on May 24, the last day of the campaign. All five participating political parties organised their election campaign activities, such as processions, gatherings with their supporters, distribution of information materials, mobile campaigns, etc., based on their affordability. The parties, he added, regularly informed NEC about the time and place of their campaign activities to avoid overlapping events with others and to seek facilitation support from concerned local authorities. The 8-day campaign lasted from May 17 to 24, while the proportional and non-universal elections of the capital, provincial, municipal, district, and Khan councils will take place on May 26 from 7:00 a.m. to 15:00 p.m. A total of 11,622 registered voters are expected to cast their votes at 209 polling stations across Cambodia. As explained by H.E. Som Sorida, they are supposed to cast two votes: one for the municipal, district, and Khan councils, and another for the capital and provincial councils.
