Cambodian Commerce Minister Receives Senior Director of Public Policy Southeast Asia of TikTok

H.E. Mrs. CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce of Cambodia, received this morning a courtesy call from Ms. DYAN Shinto E. Nugroho, Senior Director of Public Policy Southeast Asia of TikTok, while the former has been accompanying Cambodia's Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet to attend the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and Retreat Summits in Vientiane, Lao PDR. According to the Ministry of Commerce, H.E. Mrs. CHAM Nimul underlined some priorities in promoting the utilisation of technology and ICT in stimulating businesses, namely digital literacy, support and capacity building for businesses in informal sector, startups, and SMEs, to name a few. Furthermore, H.E. Minister of Commerce laid stress on the essence of strengthening food safety and consumer protection in boosting consumers' confidence. Both sides exchanged views on the critical role of digital trade in fostering business in Cambodia, and discussed the regional cooperation on digital payment and trade fairs to promote the sales of loc al products, and further facilitate tourism sector.
