Thirteen (13) new volunteers arrived in Cambodia on July 31 under the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) World Friends Korea Volunteer Programme. The new volunteers have started their five-week Local Training in Khmer language, local adaptation, safety and culture, said KOICA Cambodia Office in a news release. After the training, it continued, they will be dispatched to various locations, including Siem Reap RPITS, Kandal RTTC, Meanchey National University, Pursat POE, Kampong Thom PI, National Battambang University, CKCC, Meanchey POE, and National Defence University. 'They are here to contribute to human capital development and foster cultural exchange between Cambodia and Korea,' the news release underlined. KOICA has dispatched professional Korean volunteers to Cambodia to share their expertise, knowledge and experiences in order to improve the quality of life of the country and strengthen partnership and mutual understanding since 2003.
