Under-Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC) H.E. Ke Sovann, met here this afternoon with Mrs. Sara Minkara, Special Advisor on International Disability Rights (SAIDR) of the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labour of the U.S. Department of State. During the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction over the close cooperation between Cambodia and the United States, said the MFAIC in a news release. H.E. Under-Secretary of State highlighted the important progress of the Royal Government of Cambodia in promoting the rights of persons with disabilities in the Kingdom of Cambodia, including the progress on the implementation of the National Disability Law and the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). The Royal Government of Cambodia has also embarked on a plan to promote youth with disabilities so that they can make greater contributions to socio-economic development in Cambodia, he underlined.
