Senior officials of the Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports (MoEYS) and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Culture (MoHESC) of Timor-Leste have vowed deeper education cooperation. The commitment was highlighted at the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Higher Education and Science Cooperation between H.E. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of MoEYS, and H.E. José Honório da Costa Pereira Jerónimo, Minister of MoHESC in Phnom Penh on April 9. According to H.E. Hang Chuon Naron, the deal will allow the exchange of experiences and mobility of students, teachers, researchers, scholars, and publishers between the two countries. It will also encourage joint research in higher education to build capacity and human resource development. H.E. José Honório da Costa Pereira Jerónimo said that the MoU is a new step in the education partnership between the two countries.
