The 7th-mandate Royal Government of Cambodia is highly committed to contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions in transport area, affirmed H.E. PENG Ponea, Minister of Transport, in the 16th Council of Ministers of Transport Retreat on May 23, as part of the International Transport Forum 2024 Summit in Leipzig of Germany from May 22 to 24. H.E. PENG Ponea added that Cambodia had issued long-term strategy and other documents to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 through the promotion of EV uses and feasibility study of public transport projects which would contribute to reducing fuel consumption and improving people's health. In this regard, the Cambodian transport minister sought for cooperation from ITF member countries, development partners, and NGOs to support Cambodia in fulfilling this crucial mission.
