Cambodian Ministry of Tourism and Jiangxi province of the People's Republic of China have agreed to promote tourism cooperation between Cambodia and Jiangxi province. The agreement was made between H.E. SOK Soken, Minister of Tourism, and H.E. Ms. MEI Yi, Director General of Tourism and Culture of Jiangxi Province and Deputy Secretary of the Leadership Working Group of the Communist Party of China, during their meeting here on April 22. According to the Ministry of Tourism, both sides agreed to increase mutual tourism cooperation, especially promote Cambodia's Angkor Wat cultural tourism destination to the people of Jiangxi province. They also agreed to boost the influx of Chinese tourists to Cambodia as well as encouraged direct flights from Jiangxi to the Kingdom in the near future. Moreover, they voiced their support to the organisation of joint activities to implement the campaigns "Cambodia-China People-to-People Exchange Year 2024" and "Visit Siem Reap 2024".
