2023 SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games, a Pride for Cambodian Nation, Says PM

Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet said the 2023 SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games hosted by Cambodia in May and June this year are not only sporting events, but also a source of pride for the whole nation.

“The 32nd SEA Games and the 12th ASEAN Para Games are not just sporting events, but also a pride for Cambodia as they united our entire nation. Whether we are young or old, live in Phnom Penh or countryside, we follow and support [the events],” the Premier underlined while presiding over a solidarity dinner celebrating the success of 2023 SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games, held at the Morodok Techo National Stadium in Phnom Penh this evening.

“This is a joint achievement and the success of Cambodia as the host of the 32nd SEA Games and the 12th ASEAN Para Games,” he added.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet said the SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games are rare events in Cambodia that attract the attention and support of people all over the country at the same time, even those who do not know sports.

During the 32nd SEA Games 2023, Cambodia grabbed a total of 282 medals, including 81 gold, 74 silver and 127 bronze medals, while at the 12th ASEAN Para Games, Cambodia won in total 71 medals, of which 9 gold, 18 silver and 44 bronze medals.
