Yunnan: Yunnan Investment Group has planned to expand its investment in Cambodia to the areas of tourism and clean energy. Mr. Lu Xiaolong, Chairman of Yunnan Investment Group, revealed the plan on Nov. 6 during a courtesy visit to Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet in Kunming, Yunnan province, People's Republic of China, on the sidelines of a series of summits in the province. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Mr. Lu Xiaolong also briefed the Cambodian Premier on the progress of his company's investment in Siem Reap Angkor International Airport over the past year and expressed gratitude to the Royal Government of Cambodia for its support. In response, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet thanked Yunnan Investment Group for the investment, which not only supports the travel and tourism sector but also contributes to the promotion of the Cambodian aviation industry to become a regional aviation hub. The Prime Minister also highlighted a number of incentive measures and policies that th e Royal Government has already put in place and plans to introduce to further improve the aviation sector, increase flight connectivity, and attract more tourists to Cambodia. For the investment expansion plan, Samdech Thipadei encouraged the Chinese company to continue discussions with the Cambodian relevant ministries and institutions.
