KUALA LUMPUR, The Malaysian Islamic Economic Development Foundation (YaPEIM) today announced the appointment of 10 members of its Board of Trustees for the 2024/26 term, effective from Oct 7. In a statement, YaPEIM said the letters of appointment were presented by the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar in a ceremony held at the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) headquarters here. According to the statement, eight of the 10 appointees were reappointments, including YaPEIM Board of Trustees chairman Datuk Mohd Radzif Mohd Yunus. The other members are Colonel Datuk Mohd Ajib Ismail, Datuk Kamel Mohamad, Prof Datuk Dr Saadiah Mohamad, Dr 'Aida Othman, Dr Zaiyadi Awang Noh, Shatiri Mansor, Abdul Khudus Mohd Naaim, Rohani Mohd Shahir and Khairul Faiz Morat @ Abd Morat. 'It is hoped that members of YaPEIM Board of Trustees for the 2024/26 term will contribute towards elevating the foundation to a higher level,' the statement said. In hi s speech at the event, Mohd Na'im expressed hope that moving forward, the newly appointed Board of Trustees members would provide valuable advice, guidance and suggestions in advancing YaPEIM.
