Three Cambodian athletes will attend the 2024 Summer Olympics, to be held in France from July 26 to Aug. 11. The three athletes include a runner, Mr. Chhun Bunthorn, and two swimmers, Mr. Antoine Le Lapparent and Ms. Sakbun Katarina. Addressing the pre-departure ceremony on July 17, Senior Minister H.E. Thong Khon, President of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC), advised the athletes to firmly focus on their competition and respect the game's ethics. He underlined that they must avoid violations of the law and competition conditions for the dignity of the country as well as themselves. The Paris 2024 Summer Olympics will be a good opportunity for Cambodian athletes to promote friendship, solidarity, and the sharing of culture among participating athletes across the world. The event is expected to attract the participation of 10,500 athletes from 206 countries. Source: Agence Kampuchea Presse
