South Korean animated film "Heartsping : Teenieping of Love" surpassed the 1 million admissions mark Monday, becoming the third-largest locally produced animated film to achieve this milestone, its distributor Showbox said Monday. Released on Aug. 14, the movie is a cinematic adaptation of the popular children's animation "Catch! Teenieping." The series has a huge following among young children, with its franchise merchandise also enjoying significant popularity. Prior to this film, "Leafie: A Hen Into the Wild" (2011) and "Speckles: The Tarbosaurus" (2012) were the only other South Korean animated films to surpass 1 million viewers.
