BINTULU, Sabah showcased their dominance in sepak takraw at the 2024 Malaysia Games (SUKMA) by claiming three gold medals in both the men's and women's categories. At the Muhibbah Stadium here, Sabah's women's doubles team started their winning streak by defeating Perlis in straight sets, 15-6, 15-9. This win secured them gold, while Perlis took silver. The Federal Territories (FT) snagged bronze by overcoming Sarawak 15-8, 15-4. Sabah continued their impressive performance in the women's quadrant event, where they defeated Sarawak 17-14, 15-7 to win the gold. Sarawak had to settle for silver, and Penang won bronze after a 2-0 victory over Perak in the third-place match. The men's doubles event saw Sabah completing their gold medal haul by defeating Perak 15-11, 15-13. Perak took silver, while FT got the bronze by beating Melaka 2-0. In the men's quadrant category, Terengganu clinched gold after a thrilling final against Pahang, winning 10-15, 15-11, 15-8.
