KUALA LUMPUR, A strong earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale occurred near the Off Coast of Costa Rica at 1.43 am today. The Malaysian Meteorological Department, in a statement, said the quake epicentre was located at latitude 10.6° north and longitude 86.1° west with a depth of 62 kilometres (km), 1,601 km southeast of Puebla, Mexico.
