The Asian Kickboxing Championships 2024 was officially opened at the National Olympic Stadium here on the evening of Oct. 8 with 700 kickboxers from 24 countries competing for 102 medals. In his opening speech, H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, stressed that this sporting event will allow the athletes to showcase and refine their skills. It is also a good opportunity to exchange techniques and experiences and encourage the public to love and support the sports sector, he added. Cambodia is hosting the Asian Kickboxing Championship for the first time from Oct. 8 to 13, 2024 in Phnom Penh. According to Mr. Heng Sokkhorn, President of the Cambodia Kickboxing Federation, the Championships consists of 102 events, of which 39 for women and 63 for men. Source: Agence Kampuchea Presse
