SHAH ALAM, Selangor's e-Racing team is intensifying its training in a mission to secure three gold medals at the 21st Malaysia Games (SUKMA) in Sarawak next month. Coach Ahmad Akmal Fitri Mohd Ghazali said that the team was currently in the intensive training phase, where athletes needed to familiarise themselves with the three competition categories: Single Race, Time Attack, and Two-Team Racing. 'Our athletes are still fresh in RaceRoom, although they are accustomed to racing games like Gran Turismo and Super Formula Championship, which have different mechanisms. Currently, their ranking in Single Race and Time Attack during training is within the top 10 in the online rankings,' he told Bernama. Despite being a new team, Ahmad Akmal Fitri believed his athletes could provide stiff competition to those from other states, particularly Sarawak, Perak, and Kedah. Meanwhile, Single Race category player Megat Zain E'sham Zaphrin said he was focusing on understanding the race tracks and game mechanics, and exp ressed excitement for his debut in the championship. 'I am determined to deliver my best performance and contribute medals for Selangor,' said the computer science student from a private university. This edition of SUKMA sees 15 players representing Selangor in four e-Sports events: e-Racing, Mobile Legends Bang Bang, e-Football, and Tekken 8. Source: BERNAMA News Agency
