Cambodia will organise the second edition of the grand event 'Angkor: The Smile of Cambodia' on Oct. 29-30, 2024 in the sacred land of Angkor, Siem Reap province. The upcoming event will feature an extraordinary spectacular display highlighting the rich, long-standing culture and ancient civilisation of Asia, said the Ministry of Tourism. It will include a grand parade with a marching band, over 500 renowned artists, and cultural performances within Angkor temples-a historical and cultural event that has not been celebrated since ancient times, the source added. In addition, there will be exhibitions showcasing Khmer cuisine, traditional Khmer attire, and souvenirs crafted by Cambodians, the ministry said, stressing that this event promises to be an exciting and emotional celebration, instilling a sense of pride in the treasures Cambodia holds so dearly. The 'Angkor: The Smile of Cambodia' is expected to attract artists, well-known influencers on social media, and content producers to Angkor, the land of the glorious history of Cambodia, in order to jointly produce short videos on culture, traditions, custom, and famous tourist attractions in the Angkor area to showcase the potential of Cambodia's cultural tourism to national and international tourists.
