SEOUL, - Samsung SDI Co. on Thursday reported its third-quarter net income of 622.4 billion won (US$459.3 million), down 2.5 percent from a year earlier.
Operating profit for the July-September period was 496 billion won, down 12.3 percent from a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing. Revenue rose 10.8 percent to 5.94 trillion won.
The operating profit was 1.1 percent higher than the average estimate, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency. The estimate of net profit was not available.
