SEOUL, The Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) said Wednesday it has forged a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with its German counterpart to strengthen business ties between the two countries. Under the MOU signed in Berlin, the FKI and the Federation of German Industries, better known as the BDI, agreed to hold regular bilateral business roundtable events and consult with each other on issuing joint opinions on global trade issues, the FKI said. The two bodies have continued their cooperation via the South Korea-Germany Industrial Cooperation Committee established in 1975. The latest MOU supplements their partnership agreement reached when the committee was launched. The FKI said it will strengthen cooperation with the BDI under the goal of hosting a joint conference in Seoul next year. Source: Yonhap News Agency
