A South Korean tourist was killed in a gun attack in the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam earlier this week, the foreign ministry said Friday. The victim was shot by an armed robber on Thursday and was rushed to a hospital but died, according to the ministry. The ministry did not provide any further details about the victim. The Korean Consulate General in Guam had dispatched a consular official to the hospital immediately after the incident to provide assistance, it said.
