Phnom Penh: President of the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP), Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, welcomed this morning 2,365 new members who have broken away from different political parties. Speaking at the meeting, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his gratitude to all new members who have made the right decision to join the CPP in contributing to the greater progress of Cambodia. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Samdech Techo Hun Sen also shared his appreciation for the leadership of the new Royal Government and its achievements in the first year of office. As the party president, Samdech Techo Hun Sen gave some recommendations aiming to contribute to the development of the country and re-emphasised the significance of peace as an indispensable factor for the country's development. Besides, the CPP president stressed that joint efforts are required to bring Cambodia out of the Least Developed Country (LDC) status by 2029, and toward an upper middle-income economy by 2030 and a high-inco me nation by 2050.
