Renault Korea’s sales plunge 54.3 pct in March over weak demand

Renault Korea Motors, the South Korean unit of Renault S.A., said Monday its March sales plunged 54.3 percent from a year earlier due to weak domestic and overseas demand.

Renault Korea sold 7,133 vehicles in March, compared with 15,621 units sold a year earlier, the company said in a statement.

Domestic sales fell 22.6 percent to 2,039 units, and exports plunged 60.8 percent to 5,094 units from last year.

The company said it shipped 4,895 units of its XM3 model and 196 units of its QM6 model overseas last month.
