RELA MEMBERS ALONG BORDER CAN NOW BETTER CHANNEL INFORMATION – GOF

KOTA BHARU, Members of the People’s Volunteer Corps (RELA) from three districts in Kelantan along the country's border will be able to better channel information to the police for further action, says General Operations Force (GOF) Southeast Brigade commander SAC Sheik Azhar Sheik Omar.

He said RELA members in Tumpat, Pasir Mas and Tanah Merah were currently stationed at three Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) complexes with GOF members to guard the complex.

"We want every piece of information obtained to be passed on to the police for intelligence purposes.

"After this, we hope that every RELA member assigned to ICQS can at least channel one piece of information every month for further action to be taken by the police," he said after officiating the closing ceremony of a RELA course at the GOF Officer's Mess here, today.

Also present were 8th GOF Battalion commanding officer Supt Mohd Suhaimi Ismail and Kelantan RELA director Amirul Ikhwan Ahmad Shukri.
