Police have booked Korean American rapper San E on charges of using violence against a passerby in Seoul last month, officials said Monday. The 39-year-old rapper, whose real name is Jung San, allegedly beat the passerby with a mobile phone while telling the person to haul a bicycle properly at the entrance of a park in Seoul's Mapo district on July 28. Police suspect it was a two-way assault, and they have also booked the pedestrian on assault charges. The passerby reportedly complained of a cut around the eye area and damage to teeth, but police said the two parties had varying claims of the assault and the scope of the damage. Police plan to determine the exact circumstances through further investigation. The rapper's father was also booked for engaging in the beating, officials said. Source: Yonhap News Agency
