Police have booked Korean American rapper San E on charges of using violence against a passerby in Seoul last month, officials said Monday. The 39-year-old rapper, whose real name is Jung San, allegedly beat the passerby with a mobile phone while telling the person to haul a bicycle properly at the entrance of a park in Seoul's Mapo district on July 28. Police suspect it was a two-way assault, and they have also booked the pedestrian on assault charges. The passerby reportedly complained of a cut around the eye area and damage to teeth, but police said the two parties had varying claims of the assault and the scope of the damage.
