PM Reaffirms Government’s Commitment for Civil Service Reform

Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, reaffirmed here this afternoon the Royal Government’s commitment for the civil service reform to achieve the upper middle-income status by 2030 as well as to become a high-income economy by 2050.

Addressing the closing ceremony of the annual meeting of the Ministry of Civil Service, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet said the 7th-mandate Royal Government will continue to conduct a deeper reform to achieve the set goal for the benefit of the people and the nation.

The Premier called for participation from all stakeholders to the reform for actual outcome to respond to the Royal Government’s goal.

H.E. Hun Many, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Civil Service said that with support of the previous government and especially the Royal Government of the 7th legislature of the National Assembly, the Ministry of Civil Service has worked hard and achieved a series of results within the framework of the implementation of key measures for
public administration reform related to the key tasks, including improving the recruitment of civil servants, strengthening the capacity and institutional capacity to enhance the quality of work, and so on.

H.E. Hun Many also underscored the ministry’ commitment to contribute to the promotion of governance in public administration, which is fundamental to accelerating the pace of Cambodia’s socio-economic development.
