Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, paid in Paris, France on Jan. 18 a courtesy call on H.E. Gérard Larcher, President of the Senate of the French Republic. In the courtesy meeting, H.E. Gérard Larcher extended warm welcome to the first official visit of Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet to France as the Prime Minister, and recalled the good cooperation between the two countries, particularly between their Senates over the past 25 years, since 1999. For his part, Samdech Thipadei informed the French senate president about the outcomes of his bilateral talks with French President H.E. Emmanuel Macron, focusing on the progress of cooperation in many fields of common interests of both nations, including politics, economy, culture and language. The Cambodian Premier also invited H.E. Gérard Larcher to pay an official visit to Cambodia, especially after the 5th Senate Election in February 2024.
