The Ministry of Communications and MCMC hosted a meeting with ASEAN Ambassadors in Malaysia to discuss social media regulations and registration. The session was chaired by YB Fahmi Fadzil, Minister of Communications, Malaysia. The primary focus of the session was to strengthen collaboration on online safety issues within ASEAN and to enhance regulations and governance related to social media across the region. The initiative aims to address shared challenges through coordinated strategies and the exchange of best practices among member states. In conclusion, no single country can tackle the issue of online harms in isolation. While Malaysia is committed to being at the forefront of this endeavour, meaningful progress can only be achieved through collective efforts among ASEAN member states. By aligning regulatory frameworks, sharing best practices, and fostering collaboration with industry leaders, a safer and more responsible digital environment can be established for all. #MCMC #KementerianKomunikasi S ource: BERNAMA News Agency
