KANGAR, Perlis Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli has urged all people in the state to fly the Jalur Gemilang at their homes, offices, and business premises to show their love for the country. He said that in line with Visit Perlis Year 2024-2025 and the anticipated rise in tourist arrivals, flying the Jalur Gemilang will showcase the strong patriotic spirit of Perlis residents to visitors. 'Let us adorn every home, business, and office with as many Jalur Gemilang as possible to prove that the people of Perlis are patriotic and love their country,' he said when launching the state-level National Month and the Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2024 campaign here today. At the event, Mohd Shukri also flagged off a convoy of the Fly Jalur Gemilang Campaign, featuring three groups that represent parliamentary constituencies in Perlis, namely Padang Besar, Arau and Kangar. Meanwhile, Mohd Shukri said that, in conjunction with this year's National Month celebrations, various programmes have been lined up, such as a cycling event and a patriotic run, with the highlight being the state-level National Day Parade on the eve of Aug 31.
