PALESTINIANS APPRECIATE MALAYSIA’S CONTINOUS SUPPORT, ASSISTANCE

The Embassy of the State of Palestine in Malaysia today thanked the Malaysian Government for the unconditional and unwavering support from Malaysia in recent clashes and violence in the Gaza Strip.

Palestinian Ambassador to Malaysia Walid Abu Ali said Malaysia’s support to Palestine is not new and has never been questioned, even though the world has turned a blind eye to the sufferings of the Palestinians for decades.

“Malaysia has always shown their support and solidarity locally, regionally and internationally. On behalf of the Palestinian Government, the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank, Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and the entire diaspora, we are grateful for Malaysia.

“We highly appreciate the support and we pray for Allah SWT to keep Malaysia safe and united, to keep Malaysia secure, and we look forward to the day when we all welcome you and host you in Al-Aqsa, Insya-Allah. Thank you very much Malaysia,” he told a press conference at the Parliament lobby today.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir handed over Malaysia’s initial contribution of RM1 million fund from the Humanitarian Trust Fund for the People of Palestine (AAKRP) to Walid Abu, to ease the burden of the Palestinians affected by the conflict.

The recent clashes in Palestine involving Hamas, the ruling authority in Gaza, and the Israeli regime have resulted in the loss of hundreds of lives on both sides since Oct 7.
