CYBERJAYA, Visitors to the National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2024 launch event can showcase their news reading talents at the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) booth. Nearly 200 people have visited the booth since 9 am, with many taking advantage of the news reading slot. Bernama chief executive officer Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin said the booth served as a platform to introduce and promote the news agency's services, such as Bernama TV. 'One of the activities that consistently receives a warm response is news reading, and I myself did not miss the chance to try it earlier. 'I hope visitors to this event will take the opportunity to try their talents and who knows, they might become newsreaders,' she said. The booth, managed by the Bernama Corporate Affairs Division and Bernama TV, also has activities to test public understanding of all services offered by the news agency and the Communications Ministry. The National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2024 launch ceremony runs from 9 am to 4.30 pm. It features various programmes to strengthen patriotism in the lead-up to the National Day and Malaysia Day 2024 celebrations.
