MoU Signed to Strengthen Cambodia-China Tourism Cooperation

Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Tourism of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government have signed several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to enhance cooperation in the tourism sector. The signing ceremony, held on May 24, was attended by H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, and H.E. Xu Kunlin, Governor of China's Jiangsu province, along with 44 delegates, including senior officials and staff from both parties.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the agreements involve a range of collaborative efforts. Among the signed MoUs is an agreement on tourism cooperation between the Siem Reap Provincial Department of Tourism and the Department of Culture and Tourism of Jiangsu Province. Additionally, a similar agreement has been reached between the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Department of Tourism and the Jiangsu Department of Culture and Tourism.

Further, the Cambodia National Institute of Tourism and Nanjing Tourism and Hospitality College have agreed on a friendship and academic exchange cooperation. In the private sector, agreements were signed between CaHeng International Cultural Tourism Investment Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Performing Arts Group Co., Ltd., as well as between the Cambodia Tourism Association and Tuniu Corporation. Another MoU involves the Cambodia Tourism Association and Nanjing Niushou Mountain Cultural Tourism Group Co., Ltd.

These agreements aim to bolster tourism exchanges and cultural understanding between Cambodia and Jiangsu Province, fostering mutual growth and development in the tourism industries of both regions.
